Our Policies

Cancellations
We understand there are important reasons to cancel an appointment, but as a courtesy to other clients and our staff, please kindly give us a 24-hour notice of cancellation to avoid a full charge. A credit card or gift certificate/gift card deposit may be required at the time of booking your appointment.

Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash. When mailing gift cards, we cannot promise the arrival of the mail. The mailing of gift cards can take a few days.

All prices and services are subject to change without notice. Gift certificates never expire. The price paid for the certificate is good FOREVER.  After one year, the certificate will simply hold that value paid at the time of purchase and may no longer cover the time indicated on the front. Rather, current pricing will apply to the session and the bearer will be responsible for paying the difference.

Please see our Gift Certificates page for more info.

Late Arrivals
If you are running late we ask that you please call the office to notify your therapist:

Latham: (518) 389-2200

Saratoga: (518) 557-7714

We will do our best to accommodate your session but may have to abbreviate it depending on our scheduling needs. The session cost will be charged as originally booked.

Bad Weather
If the weather is bad or unsafe driving conditions exist, you can expect a call from us regarding your appointment. We don’t want you to feel unsafe, but we recognize here in upstate New York folks may want to keep their appointments no matter the weather, so we do our best to be here. Cancellations due to weather are no problem. If you find yourself with the day off because of weather, we happily take last-minute appointments. If one of the staff is unable to come in we will call you immediately and try to find another time.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I arrive for my appointment?
We suggest arriving 10-15 minutes early in order to fill out a medical intake form and allow time to discuss your needs and expectations of your session.

What should I wear during my session?
This is a matter of personal preference. Many clients choose to disrobe completely, but others prefer to leave their undergarments on. Your body will remain professionally draped throughout the massage, except for the area being worked on.

What payment methods does Bodywork Professionals accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, check and cash.

What is customary when it comes to tipping?
Tipping is always optional. It is an additional gift to your therapist. Those who choose to leave a tip often leave between 10-20%. Gratuity can only be left in cash or check.

How is the experience at Bodywork Professionals distinct from other providers?
Our two offices in Latham and Saratoga Springs are designed to appeal to both men and women with simple and calming, traditional furnishings. Unlike many massage providers that provide ancillary spa and beauty services, Bodywork Professionals is focused solely on professional massage and bodywork. It’s all we do and we stake our reputation on it.

Do you take insurance?
We would, but insurance does not take us. We can give you a receipt for you to submit to your insurance company. Many of our clients have programs that allow them to get reimbursed from their work with us. We will happily issue a receipt for up to one year past the date of service.

Do you provide immediate or emergency services?
Call us and we’ll work to schedule a last minute appointment with a qualified massage therapist. If it’s a medical emergency, please call 911.
